This analytical work can help you find solution to your present problem but can also shed light on the patterns and past emotional difficulties that may play a role in maintaining the current situation. Understanding the connections between past and present, or happenings in your inner and outer world can result in an awareness that will help you cope with challenges in your life more successfully in the future also.
Hypnotherapy
Our desires and fears may express themselves more easily in the form of symbols, images or dreams than in conscious thoughts and words. In a relaxed mood focusing inside we can tune in to our deepest wishes and blockages, and feelings hidden thus far can emerge in a much more free and creative way as messages from our inner wisdom. In this state of modified consciousness, we can discover important correlations that would have been much harder to grasp at the level of rationality and verbality. Inner blockages which are hindering us can be transformed at a much deeper level. Reaching deeper layers of the soul is a liberating, life transforming experience for many clients, and helps to unleash the hitherto dormant resources of the personality.
Transference focused therapy
The relationship between the psychologist and the client is of such nature that it can help certain feelings and tensions surface or appear which are important in the client's everyday relationships also. The method of transference focused therapy uses this phenomenon to help people living with personality disorders (such as narcissistic of borderline personality disorder) understand and transform their relationships so that they experince more satisfaction and harmony in their relationships, and become more balanced and harmonious persons themselves.
